Accra, Ghana — In a significant stride toward cultivating Africa’s next generation of change agents, the Institute for Liberty and Economic Education (ILEE) recently partnered with the West African Leadership and Empowerment Centre (WALEC) to co-host the highly anticipated Africa Emerging Leaders Conference and Awards. The event, held at the British Council Auditorium on August 22nd, was a powerful call to action for young Africans to embrace leadership and actively shape the continent’s trajectory.
Themed “Reawakening Africa: A Call to Duty,” the conference brought together a diverse cohort of emerging leaders, established professionals, policymakers, and innovators from across the continent. The goal was to foster a collaborative environment for knowledge exchange and to galvanize a movement dedicated to meaningful, sustainable change.

The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Enoch Opoku Antwi, Dean of Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, and Communication Arts at Academic City University in Accra. Joining him was Hon. Kemo Bojang, a legislator from the city of Kanifing and advisor to the Mayor of Kenifing on Youth Matters in The Gambia.
