Dr. Paul Appiah-Konadu

Dr. Paul Appiah-Konadu is an Economist, Educator, and Sustainability Researcher with over a decade of experience in university teaching, policy research, and capacity building. He is the Director and Lead Facilitator of the Africa Entrepreneurship School (Ghana), where he champions initiatives that foster entrepreneurship, free enterprise, and youth economic empowerment. He is also a Research Affiliate at the Lagos Business School Sustainability Centre, contributing to the center’s research output.
Dr. Appiah-Konadu lectures Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development at Academic City University and Economics at Pentecost University. He has previously taught at Wisconsin International University College and Marshalls University College, where he was recognized as Best Lecturer in 2016/2017.
He currently leads the Nigeria research team of the CAPSI–MasterCard Foundation Project, investigating how non-profit organizations generate inclusive economic opportunities for young people. His governance experience includes serving as Board Chairman of Sekyere Kusi Senior High Technical School, where he oversees strategic direction, accountability, and institutional growth. He is also a Certified Precision Quality (PQ) Training Consultant with the Design Technology Institute, Accra.
His research spans sustainable banking, circular economy business models, economic governance, and policy reforms, with over 20 academic publications and several works under review. Dr. Appiah-Konadu earned a Ph.D. in Sustainable Business Management from the University of Brescia (Italy), an MPhil in Economics (Public Finance & Environmental Economics) from the University of Ghana, and a First-Class BA in Economics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
Beyond academia, he is a respected Economic Policy Analyst, providing expert commentary on democracy, governance, and market reforms across leading Ghanaian media platforms including TV3, GBC/GTV, Kessben TV, and Oman FM. His professional work and public engagements reflect a deep commitment to advancing democracy, individual liberty, good governance, free markets, and property rights—principles at the heart of the Institute for Liberty and Economic Education (ILEE).
